Stuck in the middle

Oscar Nilsson has taken pole position in Austin, the maiden race of the s10 North American series. He'll have to deal with Vilgaudas Koldūnas, Filipp Shulman and Aleksandr Griboedov who all qualified within 0,5 second of Nilsson.

Further down the grid, Lyn Vos qualified 14th. With the top 15 consisting mostly out of experienced drivers, the result appears to be a solid one. We met up with the young Dutch driver to ask if she was pleased with the result.

It's the norm for me. It seems that I'm almost always somewhere in the middle of the pack. I was aiming for 12th, but 14th is alright. I could have done far worse.

What are your predictions for the race? Do you think you'll be able to fight your way up the field?

I think based on qualifying anything between 9th and 15th is possible. The top 8 are just too fast for me right now.

The American series is in Austin as well. Did you watch their qualifiers?

I did! Exciting stuff.

Do you regret not partaking in the series?

Had I been in their series, I would have qualified 10th instead of 14th. As I am right now I can't challenge Rage or the other top drivers in either series. But I believe that if I keep working hard, that'll change. I'm getting better, one race at a time.
