This season is heading towards climaxing thriller in World Touring Cars Series (WTCS) as there are 9 races left in the season and there are 2 driver´s who are in a head to head title fight against each other. Finland´s JJ Lehto Jr & Russia´s Matvey Sobolev Who will leave World TCS series after end of this season to drive for F1 team Tesla.


Young 28 year old JJ Lehto Jr is a true example of learning from his mistakes. A late bloomer who seemed to be destined towards oblivion in the World of Motorsports after many unsuccessful years in the season series. Nothing what would have caught the eye of the viewer. Finishing 9th-10th in every season series he drove in didn´t help his case. But always in the end there is light that never goes out and especially when Lehto turned 26 years old he learned few tricks from Finland´s greatest managers in this game Petu92 & EurobillTracker who both took Lehto under their wings for the time being.

Thus this World of Motorsports reject quickly became star over night when he was close on winning his first V8 World Championship in the age of 26 in Season 44, leading the championship until the last race against Finland´s Pertti Räikkönen, but 9 laps to go in the race and Lehto suffered his 2nd mechanical retirement of the season and lost the title to Räikkönen.

In season 45 Lehto came back stronger in V8 and was locked in a tremendous title fight against his mentor Petu92 and the 2 traded wins left right & center. Both driver´s pushed to the edge by one another and it was all going to be decided in the last race of the season with Lehto leading the championship by 8 points over Petu. In the race Petu suffered huge damage at the start and dropped to 7th while Lehto was comfortably in 2nd place, but then with 6 laps to go... History decided to repeat itself and Lehto suffered that season´s only Mechanical retirement & Lost the title again.

Now Lehto has the chance to redeem himself and win his demons and become for the first time a World Champion.
