Local boy seeking fame in F3 North America

It's a long way from the mountains of northwest Montana to the windy roads of Le Mans and the Nurburgring, but Jesse Boulanger is looking forward to his return to America this season in the F3 North American Series. Despite a roller-coaster record of DNFs and top-10 finishes on the rookie series and European circuits, Boulanger is confident his first full season on the circuit will be a breakthrough, beginning at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas this week.

"We're holding our own so far," said Boulanger, "and the car's feeling solid. I know we've got some tough competitors this year, champs from the lower series and all, but they're only human. They'll make mistakes, and hopefully we can capitalize and pirate ourselves a couple wins. Fingers crossed."
