Willie Overton Grabs First Truck Win

BRISTOL, Tennessee - On the Bristol dirt track, Willie Overton was able to say for the first time in his short NASC Truck Cup series career that he was a race winner.

Overton started on the pole, but lost the lead on the first lap to Anja Steudel. He was able to get the lead back on lap 12, and from there went on to sweep the stages.

After losing the lead by pitting during the second stage break, Overton was able to pass Irvin Colton on the restart and Chase Silver three laps later and drive away for the win.

It's a strong rebound for Overton after two disappointing finishes at Las Vegas and Atlanta.

"The past couple [races] haven't gone the way we wanted them to," Overton said after the race, "so this is really good to get us going back in the right direction."
