Boletins de Imprensa - Vanderpuije left fuming

Vanderpuije left fuming

After another mistake from his team Dante Vanderpuije's title aspirations have become more complicated than he'd have liked. After a horrendously botched strategy, Vanderpuije's race was cut short with a blown tyre. He was less than pleased with this as he's now sits adrift of closest rival Di Caro by 21 points going into the final two races.

"It's just really frustrating to have all those mechanical failures, and then when we have the car in working order, we manage to mess that up. With that said though, we're a team so we rise and fall together. We're going to have to work ridiculously hard if we want that title. Being the fastest on certain occasions doesn't matter. We need to be consistent. I'd like to give North America a North American champion. They deserve that."

Hoping for a seat in a Formula One team Vanderpuije says he needs to earn it. "We're not regressing which is good, but if I'm going to have a seat in Formula One I need to show that I deserve that seat. We can't continue with mistakes like this at the top level. Especially if we want to win the championship!"
