The Fight For The Wrong Trophy

Going in to Season 9, British youngsters Ray Striver and Biguel Maines were looking to make the best of a bad situation having missed the entry cut-off for a jump to F2. Consequently spending a further season in F3 Asia the pair - who sit in the Top 5 of UK Rankings - were eyeing a championship challenge, but for Striver at least this has not been the case.
Joined by another young British charger Thomas Troy, the trio find themselves in a season long battle for 3rd in the championship with relative daylight above and below, this has become a battle for the final Season Series trophy.

Separated for the majority of the season by just a handful of points, Adamski claims Ray has been "Good enough to win, inconsistent enough to lose", proven by multiple podiums and a win at Sepang. The flip side of the coin is highlighted no better than this latest weekend at Okayama - a bogey track for Adamski drivers - as Striver suffered suspension failure in Race 1 and a DNF in Race 2 while fighting for 10th, seeing him drop back to 5th in the standings and likely out of the UK Top 5.

With just six races left only time will tell which of the three, if any, will bring a trophy back to Britain.
