McLaren unveils MCL-09

As one of the last teams McLaren finally unveiled their car for the upcoming Season 9. As expected the MCL-09 comes in retro design. With the fully new developed car the whole team is convinced that they can get back to the top and repeat the successes of the past.

The MCD-09 is motorized by Renault. As already announced Greater Antilles Motorsport is the main sponsor, GAM's logo dominates the side of the chassis with it's main feature being it's long fin. "I think it's a really elegant car", team manager Invictus told us. "Our design is really unique, but it's not only the design of the car. The latest tests were satisfactory as well." Invictus expects a really hard season, but is also optimistic: "We are out there to surprise everyone and want to collect points on a regular basis."

Both their drivers, Freiverts and Szabo, expressed that they liked how the car performes on the track, both had good tests on the track. To help develop the car further the two F1 rookies changed their home to a beach resort near McLaren's head quarter in Motego Bay, Jamaica. Invictus praises the team spirit: "Our team spirit is really phenomenal. Now we look forward to the first race in Melbourne, everybody here ist really excited."
