Lehdistötiedotteet - Daniel Nearly Takes Pole at Valenciana

Daniel Nearly Takes Pole at Valenciana

The weather met for a perfect qualifying condition at the Circuit de Valencia, which hosts the Rookie Series for the next few days. It's always a treat to see the newest talent go head to head as they work their way to the ultimate prize, Formula One! Tyler Daniel is one of those hot shots. Coming off a trifecta at Austin (Practice, Pole and Race win), Daniel looked to take his second pole of the season at Valenciana.

Daniel took over the fastest time after the first run of laps, but couldn't improve his time after a small mistake in turn 4 saw his second and final time fall just short of his previous attempt, a 1:22:866. Right after him, B.Sojdka took over pole with an astonishing 1:22:855. Despite having the outright fastest 2nd and 3rd sector times, Daniel lost pole position by 0.011 seconds! When asked about the qualifying, Daniel responded by saying "Sojdka had the fastest time. There's nothing you can do. We'll have to get a few solid laps in on race day and overtake him. With the right strategy, I like our chances".
