Bauer Nabs Top 10.

18 year-old American Rookie Michael Bauer was ecstatic today following his first Top-10 finish in the F3 Italian Series. The young American drove a clean race, moving up from his 12th place qualifying position to finish 8th in the Sprint portion of the weekend.

When we caught up with the youngster after the race he gave us the following, "Wow, just wow. We've had some troubling weekends this season in Italy, and to get a result like this is so amazing. The team's given me a great car, and I've just done all I could do. I can't wait to try and improve further on Sunday!"

A team spokesman was quoted as saying that the finish was more than they hoped from the young driver who'd been signed for his potential more than for his current skills. But that nonetheless they were hopeful that the young man would continue to build off the result.
