Teleurstellende kwalificatie Willem Hoekstra

Tijdens de kwalificatie voor zijn eerste wedstrijd op de Sanair Super Speedway heeft de achttienjarige Fries Willem Hoekstra zich niet van zijn beste kant laten zien. Na twee troosteloze ronden eindigde hij op de 26ste plek met een tijd van 43.699. De pole ging naar de Fin Pentti Lund die ruim 1.8 seconde sneller was dan Hoekstra. Het is te hopen voor Hoekstra dat zijn race beter verloopt dan de kwalificatie.
