Korean Rookie Takes First Podium

Queensland, Australia

Korean rookie Seongwoo Kim made history this week by becoming the first Korean ever to finish on the podium.

21 year-old Kim scored a solid 3rd place in a wet Lucky Queensland Formula 3 long race, the final race of the series. A result that secured him a respectable 5th place in the final series standings.

Kim is also an unexpected entry into this season's Polish National F3 series. Before the season began many tipped Kim to be cutting his teeth in the Rookie series, after a sequence of results in what his manager described simply as "solid but not spectacular". Despite this Kim has shone so far this year, finishing 10 races out of 11 in the top ten.

If he can keep that form up, it seems he may be one to watch for the future.
