Az időmérőn mindössze a 21. lett, de a Safety Carral és balesetekkel tarkított futamon, 7 pozíciót előremenvén a 14. helyen zárt. A menedzser nagyon elégedett volt vele. Vértesi az Iowa Speedwayen is kipróbálta magát, itt időmérős helyezéséhez képest 3 helyet javított, így a 19. helyen zárt. A 18 éves pilóta indul az Africa-F3 sorozatban is.
