R00kie Calls 24-Year-Old Andrés Valverde III a “Generational Talent"
New manager R00kie has made a statement in an online press conference today, claiming that 24-year-old Andrés Valverde III is a “generational talent” and that there are plans to put him on the MotoE grid next year. Unlike most young riders, Valverde has not come from a background of significant sponsorship, factory support, or an academy system. However, R00kie believes that this is not important.
“He doesn’t bring sponsorship. He brings feel, finesse, and racing smarts,” R00kie said. “MotoE is a championship that rewards riders who can control their bikes and stay calm under pressure, and Andrés has both qualities in spades.”
The all-electric championship, which is sanctioned by the FIM and takes place at MotoGP events, is clearly the team’s target. Private testing and partnership negotiations are believed to be underway as R00kie tries to give Valverde a good chance.
“We’re starting this thing from scratch,” he said. “When he gets his chance, everyone will see why I think he’s so special.”
