A Potential Star Has Been Sighted

The Philippines is not really known for producing world class quality drivers but that might change soon as a Filipina, by the name of Tala Alcantara, just tore through three straight Formula 3 rookie races.

Tala, whose name means "Star" in her native language, scored convincing victories at Okayama, Charade, and Rafaela Oval. She started at the pole for all of those races and never played catch up with the other drivers.

"It is an honor for me to represent my country in a sport which Filipinos are not really known for. It's about time that we change that image."

When asked about her three straight victories, this is what she has to say:

"My confidence level right now is really high and that is because of everyone who is supporting me. I know that I am in good hands. The three victories is just a start. We'll definitely get more victories."
