Last-Lap Heartbreaker For Red Bull in Baku – Germain Storms to P2 from P10

What a drive from Germain today in Azerbaijan! Starting all the way back in 10th, he carved his way through the field with relentless pace and pinpoint precision to put himself in position for the win in the final lap showdown.

In an absolute thriller, it all came down to the final straight in Baku — a pure drag race to the line between Germain and Zakrajsek. Despite giving it everything, Germain was just edged out at the finish by a mere 0.0053 seconds. One of the closest finishes we’ve ever seen.

Still, it was a massive comeback and an incredible performance. With today’s result, Germain leads Zakrajsek by 5 points in the Drivers’ Championship.

On the Constructors’ side, with both Porsche drivers finishing on the podium, Red Bull’s lead has narrowed to 35 points. It’s tighter than ever, and the battle continues with everything still to play for.

We keep pushing. Eyes forward.

United we stand - Divided we fall
