The more people you have on your pit crew, the smoother it runs, having a all 90's pit crew is great but when you only have 8 of them, it's not that great, cheaper employees let you have all 18 mechanics starting off, also if you pay enough attention, you might a mechanic that you pay 7,000 and he has a 60 mechanic rating, which is average, so it can pay off to go cheap.higher priced employees can hurt your bank account and you wont have money to do other things, you can buy a few higher priced employees but, i would advise you to get mostly lower priced when your start out
