Bauer Gets First Podium in F3 Italian Series

18 year-old Rookie Driver Michael Bauer scored his first career Top-5 and Podium today with a 3rd place finish in the sprint portion of the weekend at Magione. Currently 18th in the Series Points despite some good runs, Bauer expressed optimism that this will be a sign of things to come.

"We've had some bad luck really. Some DNF's that have really hurt us in the sprint portions. We should be higher in the points and this just shows that we can be contenders."

Team boss ambauer88 was unavailable following the race, but send us the following in response to our attempts at an interview.

"Everyone here is very proud of Michael for running a good race today, especially on the wet course. The whole team has worked their tails off to get this finish, and hopefully it will carry over to Sunday."

Surely there will be more to come from this exciting young driver in the seasons ahead.
