Kees Staal who joined the qualification of the veterans race at Suzuka in ninth place ended apart enough in the race third. Kees Staal was the worst driver of the field but was facing in two rounds already in fifth place. In the thirteenth lap he was already in third place but when he came out of the pits hebwas again seventh. After the pit stop Kees took the third by a crash for him and other drivers who have make a pit stop. Kees Staal was after the race super happy with the result and could not believe it.
